Michael Roy graduated from the USC School of Cinema and Television Production in the Fall of 2002. He has spent the past seven years working as a Gaffer and Director of Photography for independent film productions. With nearly 30 feature length credits and Chief Lighting Technician, Michael has begun to concentrate his efforts on cinematography. In the Winter of 2009, Michael’s first feature, Ciao, opened theatrically in 12 major markets, including a three week, two theater run in Los Angeles. In January, 2009 Michael completed photography on his second feature length script, the psychological thriller, Vengeance. Additionally, Michael’s highly stylized, superhero web series Johnny Riakoou, was just recently acquired by an upstart internet channel and will be premiering in the Fall of 2009.

Michael, a native Californian, resides in the city of Los Angeles with his younger brother Matthew (Student/ Artist) and cat, Natasha(cat).
